Associate Director, Arup
Tim Armitage is the Project Director for the U.K. Autodrive consortium, one of three successful projects in the U.K. Government’s ‘Introducing Driverless Cars’ competition. Tim is an Associate Director at Arup who has delivered collaborative programmes across a range of transport sectors, most recently in the area of sustainable mobility. Tim has managed the analysis and testing phases of automotive programmes covering HGVs, vans and cars, contributing to programmes from concept through to production. He has led projects in the ultra-low carbon vehicle sector that have included installation of charging infrastructure as part of the U.K. Government’s Plugged-in Places programme. Prior to joining Arup in 1999, time worked for 10 years as an automotive consultant at Hawtal Whiting in Essex.
