Professor Antonios Tsourdos
Chair in Control Engineering at the Centre for Autonomous and Cyberphysical Systems, Cranfield University
Professor Tsourdos obtained a MEng on Electronic, Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield (1995), an MSc on Systems Engineering from Cardiff University (1996) and a PhD on Nonlinear Robust Autopilot Design and Analysis from Cranfield University (1999).
He joined the Cranfield University in 1999 as lecturer, appointed Head of the Autonomous Systems Group in 2007 and professor of control engineering in 2009. Professor Tsourdos was member of the Team Stellar, the winning team for the UK MoD Grand Challenge (2008) and the IET Innovation Award (Category Team, 2009).

Professor Tsourdos is a member of the IFAC Technical Committees on Aerospace Control, on Networked Systems, Discrete Event and Hybrid Systems, and Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles. In addition, he is also a member of the AIAA Technical Committee on Guidance, Control and Navigation; AIAA Unmanned Systems Program Committee; IEEE Control System Society Technical Committee on Aerospace Control (TCAC) and IET Robotics & Mechatronics Executive.
